Pay: $25 – $30 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
Martinelli Environmental Graphics is an established San Francisco-based fabricator and installer of high-quality custom signs and displays for architects, design firms, developers, museums, hospitals, and more.
We are currently expanding our workforce and seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sign Fabricator / Shop Helper to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, creative problem-solving, and building unique projects in a fast-paced and flexible shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of custom signs and displays
- Operate fabrication shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and follow written plans, instructions, and measurements
- Support shop operations and assist in multiple areas as needed
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces
- Help with material preparation, assembly, packaging, and general shop duties
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications
- Basic understanding and proficiency using fabrication shop equipment including:
- Drill and drill press
- Table saw
- Panel saw
- Band saw
- Chop saw
- Router
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 40 lbs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to assist in different areas of the shop as needed
- Experience with AC/DC electrical wiring is a plus but not required
- Clean DMV record and reliable transportation required
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required
- Willingness to learn — training provided for the right candidate
