- Summary**: As a member of the Martin's family, the vehicle maintenance planner directs and coordinates operational activities of fleet maintenance and repair within the transportation department.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities**: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plans and directs work schedules, work order assignments and work sequences in maintenance and repair of tractor-trailer, powered industrial trucks and/or company vehicle fleet.
- Ensures that preventative work is done at the appropriate time for vehicles based on mileage and other factors such as location and availability.
- Coordinate truck exchanges to enable vehicle services to be made while in outlying areas.
- Schedules repair work not performed in shop for vehicles in outlying areas.
- Monitors state inspections on company vehicles and schedules the inspection process at appropriate time.
- Assemble assets and PM schedules in EAM Oracle System.
- Enter information of assets into EAM
- Assist in ensuring that all licenses and registrations are accurate, up to date and meet all required regulations.
- Assists with all fleet fuel credit card distribution and replacements.
- Assists inventory clerk with parts inventories.
- Assess vehicle condition of outlying sales vehicles upon return for cleanliness and schedule them for detailing.
- Order non-inventory parts and process invoices.
- Communicate with team to ensure that the quality of repairs and amount of parts needed are distributed from shift to shift.

- Education and/or Experience**:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or university; or
- Three to five years' experience; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Physical Demands**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work Environment**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
