Martin Bros. Distributing is looking for motivated individuals to work as selectors in our Cedar Falls Distribution Center.
Hours for this position are Sunday - Thursday 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm (end time may vary)
The Selector is responsible for safely and accurately picking customer orders and building pallets for delivery. This role plays a critical part in meeting customer expectations by maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Select customer orders using wearable technology and pick labels
- Accurately scan barcodes/UPCs to minimize picking errors
- Build stable pallets by stacking products in correct sequence and weight order
- Verify quantities, rotation, and expiration dates
- Substitute products as directed based on system instructions or supervisor guidance
- Enter catch-weight items accurately into the system
- Shrink-wrap and stage pallets for loading
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety and company policies
