Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitation to keep spaces spotless.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures effectively across various surfaces and environments.
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
- Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and janitorial tools with proper manual handling techniques.
- Maintain floor care routines such as stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve flooring quality.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning detergents and chemicals while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding specific cleaning needs or requests; provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage outdoor work responsibilities like trash removal or outdoor surface cleaning when required.
- Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as inventorying supplies and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in residential or commercial settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during cleaning tasks.
- Experience with carpet cleaning, floor care, and surface sanitation techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and maintenance is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents, sanitation standards, and safety protocols is essential.
