Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the direct management of the administrative duties for Sanford’s residency/fellowship program and additional Sanford programs.
Ensures compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Common and Specialty Program requirements. Plans and manages resident physician/fellow rotation and call schedules. Coordinates with other residency/fellowship program as applicable. Prepares accreditation documents including, but not limited to Program Information Forms (PIF), for RRC Accreditation Review and Internal Reviews. Participates as the onsite program administrator for accreditation site visits conducted by ACGME. Manages and oversees recruitment activities. Coordinates resident/fellowship recruitment and onboarding. Oversees resident/fellowship evaluations. Maintains and updates Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) and Graduate Medical Education (GME) electronic databases. Coordinates and administers human resource functions and participates in budget reviews and financial processes for the residency program. Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of responsibilities, functions, and underlying management structure of the department and the larger institution in organizing and independently prioritizing work. Establishes procedures and systems as well as ensuring orderly and timely workflow. Completes additional tasks as necessary. Acts as a liaison between Sanford Health and applicable medical schools.
- Develops strategic relationships with campus placement or academic officers.
- Adjusts systems for tracking and recording university student information according to updated operational needs.
- Administers payroll-related procedures and policies for sick leave, vacation, hires and terminations.
- Assesses students for internships and regular positions within the organization.
- Assists employees with understanding and utilizing their time off.
- Compiles a list of standards, procedures and policies for human resources related practices.
- Consults on latest accreditation and performance standards.
- Coordinates work schedules and workloads for personnel.
- Develops change initiatives that target improvement of significant organizational capabilities.
- Establishes and maintains productive working relationships within and outside of own area.
- Plans and organizes various campus recruiting events (e.g. job fairs and sell days).
- Processes large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy.
- Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in a business, healthcare, or related field is required. Six years extensive applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Possesses computer experience that includes complex database management. Familiarity with Human Resources issues and policies.
