The Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC) is accepting resumes for a Technical Trainer that will be based at MAMC South Charleston or MAMC Huntington.Provide Train-the-Trainer and mentor training for apprenticeship providers. Designing and providing customized training to meet industry demand; assist with technical services for clients; assisting with instruction of various programs and related training for apprentice occupations. Duties may include assisting with apprenticeship testing and interviews, developing lesson plans, setup and assignment of online class material and assisting in the instruction of other MAMC training programs. Working with the MAMC Industry Advisory Council to maintain industry standards. Includes day-to-day interaction with all MAMC sites, pertinent day-to-day interaction with MAMC management, intense day-to-day interaction with local and regional customers, ensure partner and industry satisfaction, lead in developing and implementing appropriate procedures and processes to ensure the latest technologies are available. Lead in maintaining a safe and clean facility, assuring all safety procedures are followed. Assist with student recruiting activities. Travel will be required, and candidate may split time between MAMC Charleston and MAMC Huntington locations.Additional Responsibilities: Maintaining familiarity with new and developing manufacturing processes and materials; assisting industrial and individuals with advanced manufacturing techniques to develop and enhance the regions’ industrial workforce capabilities, and performing other duties as assigned.
