What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper and Office Administrator position at Marshall's Jewelers?
Seeking a detail oriented and reliable Business Operations and bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our two small businesses. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations. This position also manages key administrative tasks and helps drive operational efficiency by working closely with the store owners. This is a 20-hour per week in-office position. The hours are 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Occasional extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines or to provide support at special events.
Simply put, this is a combined high level bookkeeper and office administrator role, not a CFO type role.
Quickbooks ONLINE proficency is a MUST. You need to be a ready to go using this at a high level.(QB online is different from QB desktop)
- Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or a related field
- 2–4 years minimum of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small business environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving aptitude
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
