What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Marshall Retail Group?
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Consultant to support our finance team during a period of transition for system implementation. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently, including coding, matching, and approvals
- Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
- Vendor statement reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals and reporting
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing best practices
- Provide support during system implementations, conversions, or clean-up projects (if applicable)
Compensation: $55,000
