Purchasing Clerk
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Facilitates receipt and distribution of supplies; responsible for maintaining the stock room.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Assist with supply check-in at the time of delivery and verify against purchase orders.
Forward purchase orders and packing slips to Accounts Payable.
Distribute supplies to appropriate locations.
Maintain a cost requisition system.
Assure that the stock room is clean, safe and orderly.
Mark all appropriate supplies for use with the inventory system.
Obtain data on chargeable supplies used by each resident and transfer the information into the system daily.
Assist with daily and monthly physical inventory.
Attend in-service training sessions and other meetings, as required.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Good organizational skills
Ability to understand and follow directions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
