Job Overview
Join our boutique hotel team as a Hotel Guest Services Associate. This hybrid role combines front desk, bartending, and barista responsibilities. You will welcome guests, manage reservations, prepare coffee and alcoholic beverages, and help maintain a clean and inviting environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Duties
- Welcome guests and assist with check-in and checkout procedures.
- Manage reservations, payments, room assignments, and guest requests.
- Answer phone calls and provide information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
- Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, cocktails, beer, and wine according to established recipes.
- Check identification and follow responsible alcohol-service requirements.
- Process cash and credit-card transactions accurately.
- Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Restock the bar, café, pastry case, cold case, and other supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the front desk, lobby, café, bar, and courtyard.
- Complete assigned opening, closing, and shift-change checklists.
- Communicate room updates and guest needs with management and housekeeping.
- Assist with hotel events and additional operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Previous hotel, bartending, barista, or customer-service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Louisiana Responsible Vendor permit.
- Strong communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain professional during busy periods.
- Experience with reservation or point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
