Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in MIG and TIG welding of various metals, including stainless steel and aluminum
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine job specifications
- Participate in layout and fitting of materials prior to welding and fabrication
- Use a variety of hand tools for grinding, fitting, and finishing
- Operate machinery including press brake, water jet, sheet roller, and other shop equipment
- Contribute to high-end custom metal fabrication projects with a focus on precision and quality
- Create and follow cut lists to ensure efficient use of materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to meet deadlines
- Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve fabrication or fitting issues
- Basic proficiency with TIG and MIG welding techniques * Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings * Familiarity with metal layout and measurement techniques * Experience using hand tools and metal fabrication machinery (Press Brake, Water Jet, Rollers) preferred * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work * Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team * Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced fabricators * Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods * For safety reasons, basic English proficiency is required * A pre-employment drug screen is required
- Experience with creating cut lists from drawings or layouts * Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in a fabrication environment
