Position Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- Full lifecycle project management ownership – not segmented to specific areas
- Experience managing large-scale projects with multi-million dollar budgets and thousands of end users
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for C-suite through individual contributor levels
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies (less emphasis on Scrum)
- SAP experience – particularly financial modules; CATS (timekeeping) knowledge helpful but not required
- PMP certification ideal but not required; PM Book of Knowledge familiarity expected
- Longevity in past contract projects (18 months preferred)
- Achievement documentation showing completed missions and deliverables
- Project ownership: Budget management, scope control, milestone tracking, deliverable accountability
- Meeting facilitation: Lead meetings, provide post-meeting recaps and notes to stakeholders
- Risk and issue management: Identify, resolve, and escalate project-level risks to appropriate leadership
- Cross-functional coordination: Foster teamwork across multiple teams, drive resolutions, ensure adherence to project plan
- Reporting and governance: Weekly/monthly status reports and executive-level presentations
- Resource management: Coordinate with leadership for approvals on new resources, costs, and scope changes
- Focused, methodical, organized – able to tackle tasks systematically
- Driver mentality – holds team members accountable for day-to-day tasks and deliverables
- "Glue person" – keeps project cohesive, ensures forward progress and timeline adherence
