Position Title: Electrical / Controls Engineer – Industrial Automation
Location: Wisconsin
Duration: Direct Hire
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Shift hours: Mon – Fri; 08 AM to 05 PM
Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical / Controls Engineer to support industrial facilities with a focus on PLC programming, instrumentation, and process control systems. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing control systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Work with instrumentation, sensors, and process control systems
- Assist with system upgrades, commissioning, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with operations teams to improve system performance
- Support electrical systems, including MCCs and low-voltage equipment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related)
- 5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or energy environments
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Ladder Logic)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Experience with SCADA systems (Ignition, FactoryTalk, etc.)
- Background in power generation, oil & gas, or utilities
- On-site role with occasional travel between nearby facilities
