What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Marriott?
Marriott Greenville is searching for a Banquet Server to join our dynamic banquet team. Compensation is based on experience. This is a Part-Time/On-Call position.
The purpose of the Banquet Server is to assure the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding the guests' expectations for food and beverage service in meeting rooms and banquet functions.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure guest satisfaction through meeting room cleanliness and attention to guests' needs.
- Ensure that a high level of sanitation and cleanliness is maintained before, during, and after each shift.
- Be able to read a Banquet Event Order and know how to complete setup.
- Setup, serve, and/or breakdown coffee breaks, receptions, and other functions as assigned, following standard procedures and policies.
- Assist managers and lead servers/captains in setting up the functions and enforce all policies and procedures. Extend courtesy and goodwill to everyone at all times.
Experience/Education
High school diploma or general education degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; previous banquet and/or food & beverage experience preferred. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
