A banquet server’s primary responsibility is to to take orders, provide menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to the private dinning and banquet guests. A banquet server will have to maintain and restock buffets and other preordered setting. A friendly and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will contribute to the overall success of the establishment.
1. Must be able to lift, handle and carry beverage items, supplies, glass racks, smallwares and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
2. Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis to obtain and store food, beverage items, smallwares and service equipment.
3. Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
4. Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees and guests
