What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Assistant Professor - General Practice Residency position at Marquette University and Careers?
Marquette University School of Dentistry, in association with a local affiliated hospital, seeks a part-time faculty member for its developing Advanced Dental Education General Practice Residency (GPR) certificate program. We are looking to fill three days per week, with a minimum of one full day per week. Faculty will join our innovative, growing team to provide the highest standard of comprehensive dental care services with resident teaching, mentoring, curriculum planning and effective supervision inside of our newly renovated clinic space. You will work with high-quality residents in our state-of-the-art clinic with collaborative and engaged colleagues across the healthcare spectrum.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Along with other program faculty, supervise and mentor residents in the Comprehensive Care Clinic within the School of Dentistry. Affiliated hospital privileges are not required.
2. Provide clinical instruction, assistance in teaching and oversight of resident care of patients.
3. Consult and work closely with medical professionals while leading a dental clinic of dental hygiene professionals and auxiliary dental and office staff.
4. Participate in professional and clinical skill development activities with optional continuing education activities at discounted faculty rates.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualified applicants must have a DMD/DDS degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Applicants must hold or be eligible for a full Wisconsin dental license without restrictions.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Successful completion of either the CODA accredited 1) General Practice Residency (GPR) Program or 2) Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program is preferred but not required
Experience and strong interest in dental resident training.
Experience or an interest in providing clinical care and instruction in the treatment of patients with medically complex conditions.
