Drill Press Operator$18 - $22/hr5:50am - 1:20pmMonday - Friday Position OverviewThe Drill Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating drill press equipment to manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, work orders, and quality requirements. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and adherence to safety and quality standards within a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.Key ResponsibilitiesReview work orders and verify completion of prior operations before starting workSet up and operate drill press equipment to meet part configuration and tolerance requirementsProduce first articles and submit for supervisory approvalManufacture parts in accordance with drawings, specifications, and work instructionsMeasure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gaugesIdentify, document, and report non-conformances to supervisionPerform basic preventative maintenance as directedMaintain accurate timekeeping and job records in computerized systemsFollow all safety, quality, and production proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaSupport other manufacturing areas and cross-train as neededLift parts up to 40 lbs as requiredQualifications3 years of manufacturing experience; aerospace experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructionsProficiency with standard machine shop tools and inspection equipmentWorking knowledge of basic mathStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customersKnowledge of workplace health and safety requirementsWillingness and ability to work overtime as requiredCompany DescriptionMarquee Staffing has built a reputation on expert local market knowledge, unparalleled personalized service and the ability to deliver winning candidates and job opportunities.Marquee operates offices located conveniently throughout Southern California.
