Maron Marvel has an immediate opening for an associate attorney to join its Jersey City office. We are seeking a civil litigator for our Jersey City litigation practice group. Successful candidates will have exceptional research, writing, and litigation skills, and the ability to handle a broad spectrum of civil cases.

Salary Range & Benefits:

$130,000 - $170,000 per year, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proactive case management from start to finish in both state and federal courts.
• Drafting of pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive motions.
• Comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy recommendations.
• Deposition taking of key fact witnesses including Plaintiffs.
• Preparation of case updates and handling of client communications as requested.
• Ability to work closely with paralegals to ensure efficient case management.

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted in the State of New York & New Jersey is a plus.
• 7 years litigation experience.
• Demonstrated ability and desire to manage caseload proactively from start to finish.
• Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage and work in a team environment.
• Strong research ability and written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Desire to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to continued client development.
