A Day in the Life You start your shift with a safety walk, ensuring the floor is hazard-free. Preventive maintenance is next—inspecting automation cells, presses, and conveyors so production runs smoothly. When a line calls for help, you lock out/tag out, diagnose the issue across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems, and get equipment back online efficiently.Keep the workplace safe and report hazards immediately.Execute and document preventive maintenance on machinery and building systems.Inspect, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults; repair or replace components.Install, service, and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment.Use welding and cutting tools; fabricate and repair wooden and metal structures as needed.Calibrate, adjust, and fine-tune controls and instrumentation for proper performance.Initiate purchase orders for parts and materials to minimize downtime.Maintain clean, orderly areas that meet 5S standards.Follow company policies; complete daily labor records; perform Lockout/Tagout correctly.Cross-train to support multiple production areas and respond effectively to urgent needs.Lift, lower, and carry up to 40 pounds as required. What You Bring 5 years of experience in maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting.High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational schooling preferred.Proven skill troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.Ability to read work instructions and blueprints; proficient with micrometers and calipers.Basic computer proficiency for PMs and documentation.Valid Tow Motor (forklift) and Scissor Lift certifications required; Arc Flash knowledge preferred.Broad knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and professional conduct.
