What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Office Manager position at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center?
We are hiring for a Business Office Manager to join our Nursing Home Facility!
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must be able to type 45 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing sound accounting techniques.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
- Oversees and supervises Assistant Business Office Bookkeeper.
- Maintains Resident Trust or where applicable delegates the responsibility.
- Is knowledgeable in various payment sources as needed and assists resident and families.
- Is diligent in collections.
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:
A minimum two years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting practice. Experience in health care accounting preferred. Must have an associate’s degree in Accounting and/or equivalent of two years’ experience in accounting, billing and collections.
