What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Assistant position at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center?
Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring full-time Laundry Attendants to join our housekeeping team!
Shift is 2p-10p, includes an every other weekend rotation. Weekly pay at $16 an hour.
You ensure residents' clothing and facility linens are properly cared for.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Housekeeping/laundry experience preferred but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain laundry in an efficient, clean, orderly, safe and sanitary manner to ensure clean clothing and linen are always available to meet the needs of the residents and facility.
All laundry must be done according to sanitation procedures, safety precautions, infection control and universal precautions.
Follow washing instructions on each article of clothing/linen to ensure maximum care and cleanliness.
Label unmarked clothes.
Restock linens and return residents’ articles of clothing to their rooms.
Other duties as assigned by team.

Must be willing and able to professionally work with a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required duties.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public, and be able to appropriately handle residents.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.
