Marks & Harrison is seeking an entry-level, full-time Settlement Administrator to join the team in our Richmond, VA office.
The Settlement Administrator's primary responsibility is to assist the Firm in the accurate submission of timely payments to both clients and vendors.
Key Duties:
- Review all cost and trust check request for accuracy, investigating and resolving errors.
- Accurately enter payment information into case management software to initiate payments
- Mail vendor payments and share payment information with appropriate parties after check distribution is complete
- Investigate all returned checks
- Utilize Quickbooks to maintain accurate vendor listings and documentation
- Assist with check verification to prevent fraudulent check
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in the use of software tools to manage payments, such as Quickbooks
- 1 year of experience applying math skills in a work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Law firm experience
- Customer service experience
