Marks & Harrison is seeking an entry-level, full-time Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant to join the team in our Petersburg, VA office.
Pre-Litigation paralegals are expected to manage all aspects of a case that has not yet been filed in court, including duties such as serving as primary contact for all involved parties, managing documents through the use of our case management software, requesting and evaluating medical and investigation records, and the preparation of demand and settlement documents.
An ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Prior experience in the legal field, preferably in Personal Injury law
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team while also having a high degree of individual accountability
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while maintaining a meticulous eye for detail.

Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
