CMK Resources is looking for our partner in the automotive manufacturing space to bring on an experienced RPG / BPCS Programmer. This role will be responsible for supporting end-users and system infrastructures across multiple facilities, with a strong focus on ERP, plant floor, shipping, and scanning operations. You will provide systems analysis, programming, and documentation for business-critical applications while ensuring data integrity and smooth daily operations.
This is a 100% onsite role with a salary target around $120K.
Responsibilities
Systems & Application Support
- Provide technical support for the IBMi, ERP (INFOR LX), and Data Collection (shipping and scanning) systems
- Support and coordinate IT operations across all facilities
- Design, modify, test, debug, and document systems and application programs
- Generate user-required reports and documentation
- Manage system updates, backups, and housekeeping tasks to minimize disruptions
Programming & Integration
- Maintain and enhance custom RPG programs, including custom APIs
- Create interface programs from various systems and INFOR LX using WEBAPI
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of plant floor data collection and related systems
- Design systems that integrate multiple locations into unified solutions
Performance & Optimization
- Analyze operating systems, hardware configurations, and applications to improve performance
- Increase system efficiency to meet current and projected user needs
- Balance multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
- Develop enhancements to streamline ERP workflows and improve plant floor reporting
End-User Support
- Diagnose and correct system issues, ensuring minimal downtime
- Consult with users to understand information processing needs
- Maintain documentation and user manuals
- Provide user training and technical support
- Foster teamwork and innovative approaches within the IT department
Requirements
- 5 years of programming experience in RPG and ILE
- Experience supporting or enhancing BPCS ERP applications
- Experience integrating systems using WEBAPI
- Hands-on knowledge of INFOR LX highly desirable (transitioning from BPCS)
- Manufacturing or automotive industry background preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to optimize ERP workflows
