Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various types of vehicles, including vans and transits.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, up to 40 lbs or 150 lbs using dolly.
- Perform route driving to deliver products efficiently while maintaining accurate delivery schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality before departure.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, receipts, and any discrepancies.
- Assist with moving items as needed within the warehouse or delivery locations.
Skills
- Proficiency in heavy lifting techniques to handle large or bulky items safely.
- Previous experience in route driving is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients during deliveries.
- Capability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
