- Safely operate your vehicle in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination.
- Load, unload, and secure merchandise using proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury and damage.
- Engage with customers professionally to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and build positive relationships.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations.
- Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and quantities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple deliveries efficiently.
