Oracle Cloud PPM Functional Consultant
This is a long-term, high-impact role based in St. Louis, MO, focusing on the end-to-end functional support and implementation of Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM) for Watlow. The ideal candidate brings a deep background in both Oracle Cloud and R12 environments to drive project success.
Role Overview
- Location: St. Louis, MO (On-site at Watlow office)

Key Responsibilities
- Functional Leadership: Lead the support and implementation of Oracle Project Financial Management modules, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Solution Design: Design, configure, and document functional solutions. This includes creating high-quality functional design documents (FDDs), test scripts, and use cases.
- Integrations & Interfaces: Manage and troubleshoot interfaces between Oracle PPM and external systems using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Financial Accounting: Define and refine Subledger Accounting (SLA) rules and ensure seamless accounting flow between projects and the General Ledger.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, providing expert guidance and managing customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Qualifications
- Core Expertise: 9β12 years of experience primarily focused on Oracle Cloud PPM and Oracle E-Business Suite (R12).
- Module Proficiency: Hands-on experience with the following modules:
- Project Costing
- Project Billing
- Project Contracts
- Project Control & Foundation
- Project History: Proven track record with at least two Oracle Cloud and two R12 support/implementation projects.
- Financial Integration: Solid understanding of Oracle Payables (AP) and General Ledger (GL) is highly advantageous.
- Accounting Logic: Expert-level knowledge in defining SLA rules and financial reporting structures.
Soft Skills & Competencies
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration: Experience working within diverse, multi-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal skills with a history of successful direct customer interaction and relationship management.
