Marketing Department, Inc., one of Michigan’s leading public relations and marketing agencies, is growing and adding a new position, an experienced Public Relations Manager, to their team in Houghton, Michigan. Clients of the agency are in manufacturing, high-tech, healthcare and banking industries. The agency works closely with clients to grow business and energize brands. We are looking for a Public Relations Manager who can energize a team and contribute to the great work we already do for clients.
The Public Relations Manager is a leader, more than a doer. This position will team up with the CEO, Creative Director, and Account Supervisor to deliver work that meets the agency’s very high standards. A successful Public Relations Manager will:
- develop public relations plans and copywriting project objectives.
- provide direction on a variety of writing projects from press releases and website copy to social media and ad taglines.
- manage the workflow of all public relations and copywriting projects.
- deliver press releases, web copy, social media, ad copy, message platforms, etc.
What we offer. For the right candidate, this position offers a flexible schedule between 30-40 hours a work. Position starts at $25-$40 per hour (depending on experience) with excellent healthcare benefits, retirement match, unlimited time off, and an energizing, modern work environment located in the heart of downtown Houghton. Remote work is possible for people with 8 years of proven experience.
