Homag Edgebander Operator

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Homag Edgebander Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our Homag edgebanding equipment to produce high-quality cabinet, fixture, and millwork components. The ideal candidate has woodworking experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Homag edgebanding equipment to apply PVC and wood veneer edgebanding to panel components.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and production schedules.
• Adjust machine settings, including glue application, feed speed, temperature, and trimming functions to ensure quality results.
• Inspect materials before and after processing to verify accuracy, appearance, and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and make adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning glue systems, changing tooling and completing preventive maintenance tasks.
• Work closely with CNC operators and saw operators to meet production goals.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with all company safety standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience operating edgebanders, CNC equipment, panel saws, or other woodworking machinery preferred.
• Experience with Homag equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read a tape measure and accurately use digital calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production paperwork.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, or move materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely handle large wood panels and finished components.

Experience with Homag edgebanders and commercial woodworking equipment is strongly preferred.
