What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tour Manager position at Marketing Activations Group, LLC?
Marketing Activations Group (MAG) is seeking tour/account managers that can hit the ground running and make a difference in their Columbus, OH and McDonald, OH office locations. Positions are full-time and would begin as soon as possible. These positions include both MAG office and road travel, and include nights, weekends, and possibly some holidays.
Necessary in order to succeed and make a difference:
Resourcefulness to improvise and adapt to deal with daily adversity via creative problem solving skills
Ability to pull off events that require weeks of planning in a matter of days
Obtaining a self-starting, results-oriented mindset (initiative and maturity)
Ability to motivate and manage each team member as they require to generate the work ethic necessary (team leadership and motivation skills are critical)
- Training & management of both MAG office and local market staff
- Sourcing and hiring local market staff
- Ability to be a resource to the team and a leader in the office
- Ability to manage multiple accounts / projects simultaneously
- Maintaining a positive working relationship with clients
- Post-event reporting to the agency and client through event recaps
- Consistently deliver on objectives for each event and motivating staff to meet those objectives
- Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with vendors and properties to ensure a return on investment and added value to the sponsorship
- Managing program budgets and expenses for travel
- Providing input on activation and creative enhancements to ensure the best engagement and environment for the brand(s)
- On-site social media management
- Communicate program effectiveness and provide insights to MAG leadership and clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications, or related field required
- Varying levels of experience required based on level of position; 1-2 years up to 6 years or more
- Compensation commensurate with experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Must be 21 or older at the time of hire
- Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their principles
This is a FULL TIME position and includes nights, weekends, and travel. Benefits include a stipend for health insurance and paid holidays. Hotel, airline, and rental car fees are all covered at the agency’s expense; per diem will be allotted in lieu of meal expenses. Qualified candidates required to submit to a complete background, DMV and credit check.
