What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator 2nd Shift position at Market Tree Research?
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes (Tsugami, NL/CL) to produce parts per blueprints, maintaining tolerances (e.g., ±0.0005”).
- Perform in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and CMM, ensuring AS9100 compliance and logging data in ERP.
- Assist with machine setups, tool selection, and offsets; make minor program adjustments as needed.
- Conduct daily maintenance (coolant, chips) and follow OSHA/AS9100 safety protocols.
- Collaborate in team huddles, mentor helpers, and suggest process improvements to reduce cycle times.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; CNC certification or vocational training preferred.
- 1–3 years operating CNC lathes/Swiss turns (Tsugami experience a plus); entry-level with strong aptitude considered.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, precision measuring, and basic G-code knowledge.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards (traceability, FOD prevention).
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.71 - $26.15 per hour
