Material Handler / General Warehouse Associate

OVERVIEW
Are you someone who enjoys staying active throughout the workday and takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly? We're looking for a dependable and hardworking Material Handler / General Warehouse Associate to join our growing team.

In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting warehouse operations by moving materials, building and wrapping pallets, organizing inventory, maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, and assisting multiple departments with general labor tasks. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to jump in wherever help is needed.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, contributes to a positive team environment, and is willing to learn and grow with the company.

Please note: This is a full-time role currently payrolled through a staffing agency, but you will report directly to the Market Speed Logistics team each day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Move materials, inventory, supplies, and finished goods throughout the warehouse as directed.
• Build, stack, and organize pallets according to operational requirements while ensuring product stability and safety.
• Wrap completed pallets securely for storage or shipment.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Safely transport materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, or other approved equipment.
• Support warehouse organization by properly staging materials and maintaining designated storage locations.
• Build boxes, assemble pallets, and prepare packaging materials for operational use.
• Assist various departments with general labor tasks as assigned.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including workstations, aisles, common areas, and warehouse floors.
• Remove debris, empty trash, and support housekeeping efforts throughout the facility.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Report safety concerns, damaged materials, equipment issues, or inventory discrepancies to management.
• Work collaboratively with Receiving, Order Fulfillment, Assembly, Inventory, and Operations teams to support daily business needs.
• Assist with special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Previous warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, production, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Strong attention to safety and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Basic organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed, including occasional weekends.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and activity levels.
• Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a full-time position. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Flexibility to work overtime, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, may be required based on business needs, especially during our peak season of September 1st through December 15th.

The role is physically active and performed in a warehouse setting. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and follow all OSHA safety standards.

This position is payrolled through a staffing agency but reports directly to Market Speed Logistics each day.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
