Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Handle food preparation and food handling tasks in accordance with food safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee industry preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued highly
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café operations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in retail or food service environments is a plus but not mandatory
