Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our team to help us sustain our rapid growth. We have significant opportunities available for this position and a great outlook for future advancement. Your compensation will be commensurate with your past experience and current abilities. We offer bonus and overtime pay to all employees - these are in addition to the salary range for this job. Duties:
Conduct financial audits of governmental clients following GAAS standards
Analyze client financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance
Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements based on COSO framework
Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans
Review general ledger accounting entries for precision
Utilize financial software to extract and analyze data
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements in governmental accounting
Provide guidance to clients on technical accounting issues
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial auditing and/or corporate accounting.
Proficiency in GAAS, COSO framework, and technical accounting principles
Strong knowledge of risk management practices
Experience with various financial software applications
Nice-to-have Skills:
Familiarity with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) guidelines
Previous experience in conducting governmental audits of schools, municipalities and authorities
Ability to lead audits effectively and supervise staff on engagements.
