What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audit Associate position at Mark C. Turnley, CPA?
Candidates must be local to the Pittsburgh area and preferably living within 45 minutes of our office in New Brighton, PA. Responsibilities will include assisting senior auditors and audit managers with the performance of governmental and non-profit audit engagements. This will entail working both in the office and in the field at various client locations to perform audit fieldwork and assist with financial statement preparation. The position requires a 4 year accounting degree (or for the candidate to have a comparable degree or level of experience equivalent to a four year degree). CPA certification or working towards the certification helpful but not required. Candidate can possess 0 to 2 years of accounting experience. Position requires local (no overnight) travel depending on engagement. Overtime is required at certain times of the year, and/or when necessary to complete assigned projects. We are willing to discuss remote work possibilities after six months on the job.
