Familiarity with quality cost concepts and techniques; the knowledge and ability to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Assure that all products meet all engineering and customer specifications Coordinate all activities at the various Mark Andy facilities associated with achieving and maintaining ISO 9000 registration Provide supervision for Quality Assurance Department personnel and assign personnel as required to meet workload demands Analyze manufacturing, customer and vendor problems, make recommendations and implement corrective actions to eliminate future problems. Develop new techniques and approaches to dealing with quality problems Prepare, audit and maintain plant quality assurance plans, procedures and specifications and establish quality standards for products and processes Determine, specify and procure calibration, inspection and testing facilities and equipment and formulate inspection calibration and test procedures Provide quality systems support for new products to assure the processes are adequate and that the design intent is met and objectively verified Identify and resolve vendor/customer quality issues SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent oral and written communication skills Good problem-solving skills Intermediate Microsoft Office Excel knowledge EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering or quality assurance/control, or 5 to 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Good working knowledge of GD & T (ANSI Y14.5 – 1994), SPC and ISO–9001-2000 standard.
