The Rigging Worker
- Assists in rigging operations throughout the fleet.
- Participates in ship mooring and unmooring evolutions as part of line-handling crew.
- Assists in performance of mooring maintenance.
- Serves as deck hand on fleet craft and barges.

- Ability to use hand signals to guide crane operators in hoisting, moving, and lowering loads into desired locations.
- Ability to recognize possible safety hazards
- Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.
- Use of Measuring Instruments.
- Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment.
- Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
- Technical practices.
- Ability to interpret instructions.
