Preservation Servicer (Open to both U.S. Citizens and Federal Employees).

Duties

As a Preservation Servicer, You Will

• Regularly inspect shipboard coatings and failed coating remediation involving scaling, scraping, and chipping.
• Perform vessel maintenance through topside housekeeping on non-retention vessels including sweeping and trash removal.
• Provide deck maintenance and repair, including of exterior surfaces, and surface preparation and recoating of failed areas aboard retention vessels and Fleet service craft.
• Assist other Fleet production tasks, such as ship arrivals, departures, and mooring as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications for the position are based on the training, experience, or other requirements that determine which applicants would be able to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled.

To qualify for the WG-07, your experience should include experience equal or equivalent to the following:

• Ability and willingness to learn how to perform general housekeeping onboard vessels.
• Ability and willingness to learn how to apply paint coatings on vessels.
