The Campus Store Associate reports to the Campus Store Manager and Assistant Manger and assists with the daily tasks of operating the Marist School campus store. This is a part-time position, 12 hours per week.
Essential Functions
- Twelve (12) hours/2 days a week, paid employee with specific duties to be directed by the Campus Store Manager & Assistant Manager
- Work weekly in-store shift(s) to include opening and/or closing the store during standard or special events (Friday night football games, Holiday Traditions, New Parent Night, Used Uniform sale, etc.), store hours; not to exceed 12 hours per week.
- Use Lightspeed POS to handle sales, returns, exchanges, customer accounts, and some reports
- Prepare daily deposit (when closing)
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the store
- Assist in store inventory - 1x year
- Assist with sorting and distributing uniform sales in early August
- Receive inventory, tag, and restock as needed
- Assist with store cleanliness tasks, including garbage removal, window cleaning, and vacuuming.
- Meet with fellow employees to support buying decisions, brainstorm ideas to drive sales, bring in new item ideas/vendors, and provide feedback on store
- Assist in training/scheduling volunteers, including concession/candy volunteers
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to maintain a high degree of motivation to retain focus on providing the highest levels of client satisfaction.
- Ability to problem solve to resolve issues as they arise, seeking assistance when necessary
- Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Punctuality and consistency in attendance are required
- Bachelor’s degree or experience working in a retail environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word and Outlook
- Proficient with or willing and able to develop a proficiency with Lightspeed POS software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent judgment, strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and be able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
