What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Minister - Peer Leader position at MARIST SCHOOL INC?
SUMMARY
Marist School, a co-educational, college-preparatory, Catholic school, seeks a faith-driven, experienced individual to serve as Campus Minister – Peer Leader for the 2026-2027 school year. The Campus Minister assists the Director of Campus Ministry in the development and production of programs and activities relating to the spiritual life of Marist School. This includes, but is not limited to, student leadership development, retreats, and liturgical events, and involves faculty, students, and their families.
Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Peer Leader Administration
- Oversee programming logistics and budget for Peer Leader program, including supplies, transportation, booking locations, database updating
Peer Leader Moderator
- In cooperation with other Peer Leader moderators, leads students in the ministry of hospitality to new students, including Peer Leader applications, training, program execution and follow-up, problem solving, etc.
Liturgies and Prayer Services
- As instructed by the Director of Campus Ministry, support Liturgies organized by Campus Ministry, e.g., all school Masses, Baccalaureate, Jr. Mass & Convocation, etc
Genesis Retreat Moderator
- Work with other retreat moderators to select leaders, train leaders and oversee execution of the retreat, including continual improvement based on student feedback.
- Extracurricular: Training meetings, chaperone retreats.
Miscellaneous
- Presentations to students, in classrooms or at smaller assemblies
- Advance progress of the current strategic plan through measurable goals.
- Other duties as assigned
RISK MANAGEMENT STANDARDS
Specific abuse risk management standards are summarized as follows.

• Attend required abuse risk management training.
• Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.
• Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
• Adhere to job-specific abuse management responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a practicing Catholic and possess a Master’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field, and/or demonstrated experience in ministry.
- Previous experience with a proven track record as an educator working with students from grades 7-12
- Exhibits strong interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- A minimum of two (2) references.

- A completed drug and illegal substances screen.
