Luxury Jewelry Sales Assistant

Marissa Collections is looking to add a sales assistant to our Luxury Jewelry department. This is not just jewelry, it is high fashion and the qualified candidate will understand luxury service, high value products, and serve the sales team and clientele with efficiency and professionalism.

The Jewelry (fine and fashion) Selling Assistant for Marissa Collections is responsible for supporting the jewelry specialist and sales team in achieving department sales goals. Responsible for daily operations and supporting jewelry department as detailed below.

Merchandising:

• In partnership with buyer, manages floor presentation by designer and key items maintaining visual presentation for bottom line sales growth
• Develops input for store management and buyer for monthly sales projections and department results
• Participates in style-out meetings with buyer and stylists, and ensures project knowledge is in compliance for entire staff on weekly basis
• Develop product knowledge of stylists for seasonal trends by designer and client opportunity

People Development:

• Stylist motivation for productive coaching on a daily basis
• Participate along with buyer in team building activities to support and develop a teamwork atmosphere
• Strong daily communication with, jewelry director, jewelry specialist, buying team, operation associate, PB management and store stylists

Operational Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing jewelry and the store
• Physical Inventory
• Quality controls and checking
• POS standards maintained
• Adhere to policy and procedure guidelines
• Loss prevention standards maintained and followed
• Assist in ringing sales
• Repairs and client follow-up
• Participate in day to day operations
• Ringing sales for all departments. Utilize Retail Pro
• Help stylists with Fine Jewelry questions
• Vendor communication follow-up on orders, deliveries, repairs
• Trunk Show packing/unpacking and reconciliation

TRUNKSHOW

• Assist with Trunk Show packing/unpacking and reconciliation
• Assist the sales manager in pulling client lists and stylist client outreach follow-up

Marketing & Events

• Piercing events – assist jewelry sales manager oversee and execute piercing events
• Create client outreach plans for events, (ie. Selecting jewelry for client needs)

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with fine jewelry, fashion jewelry, watches, accessories, or luxury merchandise preferred.
• Previous experience with POS systems
• Experience supporting trunk shows, special events, vendor appointments, or clienteling activities preferred.
