Marissa Collections has grown and is looking to incorporate a human resources professional on the leadership team. This is a newly created position, and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with top leaders to take our current systems to new heights.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·
- Aligning the personnel to fit with the overarching corporate business strategy and culture · Innovating talent management, engagement and retention.
- Fostering a work environment and programs that attract and retain a successful, customer-focused workforce.
- Driving the promotions, reviews, and rewards system and refining as needed to reflect the dynamics of the business.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES ·
- Program Management - With over 70 employees in three (3) locations, administering ongoing and new programs is now more important than ever. The successful candidate will need to focus on precision of execution, enabling programs to work in the most efficient and productive manner possible. ·
- Onboarding / Offboarding (to include offer letters and separation documents)
- Document Management
- Job Description updates as needed for the evolving business
- Benefits Administration
- Performance – Working with management to insure these are performed in a timely, efficiently, and accurate manner. ·
- Performance Check-ins (30, 60,90)
- Annual review coordination
- Training program coordination (staff and leadership)
- Employee Engagement - build a framework for engagement that drives business results. ·
- Employee Satisfaction Initiatives
- Team Building initiatives
- Staffing – Support the recruitment efforts of the organization.
- Pre-screen applicants
- Participate in interviews with hiring leaders
- Internal Communications – Support in corporate/internal communication functions as requested by leadership and needed for compliance.
- Handbook policy updates
- Company benefit communications, etc.
- Compensation/Benefit Modeling & Strategy - Work with the outside consultants and agents to ensure proper analysis and modeling as an input to the compensation and benefits programs. Yearly administration of benefits programs.
- Maintain compensation accurately in payroll system.
- Work with leadership to support and maintain the bonus programs in place
- Verify accurate total compensation communications
THE CANDIDATE
- The successful candidate will have worked five (5) years within retail companies and will know how to understand local market nuances and legal compliance issues.

- Analytical mindset: strong critical thinking skills. Experience applying various practices to address business issues, people operation’s needs, employee engagement, and assessing processes. Ability to extract key messages from details and translate into audience appropriate messages. ·
- Strong interpersonal skills: team-oriented planner and decision-maker. Able to creatively drive consensus. Candid and collaborative change ambassador for all levels of the organization. ·
QUALIFICATIONS ·
- 5 years in an HR role in retail. ·
- SHRM and/or PHR certification required. ·
- Demonstrated success supporting vision, strategic planning, and data management skills; models core values related to excellence, continuous improvement and customer service. ·
- Energy, personal presence, and power of persuasion; ability to thrive in a dynamic environment of rapid organizational growth and to balance multiple tasks effectively ·
- Experience developing, implementing, and reinforcing human capital processes and tools to improve efficiency, transparency, professional development and accountability. ·
- Knowledge of benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, and applicable labor and employment laws.
