The Marion County Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic and member-driven organization committed to fostering a thriving business community through advocacy, networking, and support. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of our office and serve as a central resource for our members and staff.
Position Summary:
The Office Administrator will be responsible for a wide range of general office duties, including managing communications, maintaining records, processing financial transactions, and supporting Chamber events and programs. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, proactive, and has a strong understanding of office administration and financial software.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage daily office operations, including answering phones, handling mail, ordering supplies, and greeting visitors.
· Maintain organized and accurate records, files, and databases.
· Handle invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
· Assist with membership billing, renewals, and communications.
· Provide administrative/other support for Chamber events, programs, and board meetings (some evening and Saturday hours may be required).
· Prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
· Coordinate scheduling and maintain calendars for Chamber activities.
· Maintaining and updating tenant leases
· Ensure a clean, professional, and welcoming office environment.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· QuickBooks experience is required; certification is preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
· Prior administrative or office management experience is strongly preferred.
