Position Summary

The Housekeeper at Marion Assisted Living is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, offices, bathrooms, and other areas throughout the community. This position requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service while treating every resident with dignity and respect.

Essential Responsibilities

As a Housekeeper at Marion Assisted Living, you will:

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established procedures.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, and polish floors and furnishings.
• Empty trash containers and replace liners.
• Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, and fixtures.
• Maintain clean and organized housekeeping carts and storage areas.
• Replenish paper products, soap, towels, and other supplies.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or damaged equipment promptly.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to provide an exceptional resident experience.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in assisted living, long-term care, healthcare, or hospitality is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while also being a dependable team member.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Genuine compassion and respect for older adults.
