What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yacht Service-Maintenance Technician position at MarineMax Services Inc?
OVERVIEW: The Yacht Service/Maintenance Technician provides service and maintenance as needed to the new and used yacht inventory. This position includes general of “crew” type maintenance through a planned maintenance systems designed to maintain the product on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis and providing a maintenance log to the new owner.
KEY TASKS:
- Conduct the necessary maintenance checks and repairs as described in the maintenance program in a timely and professional manner
- Provide proper documentation, such as labor tickets, work order updates including a description of the work performed.
- Communicate with the service advisors and/or parts department to obtain necessary parts and supplies timely.
- Notify service advisors when repairs beyond the scope of this position are necessary and follow-up on completion
- Update vessel maintenance logs upon completion of service
- Available to work additional hours when necessary
- Travel to additional locations when necessary to maintain inventory
- Maintain vehicle log and ensure cleanliness
- Project a knowledgeable and professional image at all times
- Other duties as assigned.
