Overview

Marine Drive Childcare is a brand-new early childhood education center opening in Bremerton offering high-quality care in a beautifully remodeled setting. We are growing quickly and expect to hire several new lead teachers, assistant teachers and support staff in the next six months. Full- and part-time positions may be available, including before- and after-school starting in the fall. We are also hiring for full-time summer program leaders.

Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Staff Teacher, Assistant, or Aide! In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Whether you’re leading classroom activities, supporting lesson plans, or assisting with daily care routines, your enthusiasm and dedication will help children develop essential skills and a love for learning. Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and play-based methods where applicable.
  • Assist in creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes childhood development and encourages curiosity.
  • Engage with children through activities that enhance social-emotional skills, behavior management, and early intervention strategies.
  • Help with classroom management by maintaining organization, safety protocols, and ensuring a clean learning space.
  • Participate in lesson planning alongside lead teachers to deliver effective educational experiences.
  • Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special education needs to ensure inclusive learning.
  • Foster open communication with children and parents to promote child welfare and address individual needs.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required.
  • For Lead Teachers, college credits in early childhood education are strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, standardized testing preparation, and tutoring is advantageous.
  • Experience with special education, early intervention programs, and play-based methods is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with young learners.
  • Ability to manage classroom activities confidently while ensuring child safety and welfare.
  • Relevant certifications in childhood development or early childhood education are desirable; however, all positions require applicants to meet minimum qualification standards. Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
