Responsibilities
- Assist experienced technicians with routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of marine vessels and water transportation equipment.
- Learn to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and engineering troubleshooting guides to diagnose issues accurately.
- Support electrical diagnostics and ship electrical systems maintenance using tools such as multimeters (ohmmeters), soldering irons, and precision measuring instruments.
- Participate in mechanical systems repair including assembly, fabrication with sheet metal, welding, and use of power tools and hand tools.
- Conduct rigging tasks and assist with the installation or removal of mechanical components.
- Help maintain vessels by performing diesel mechanics tasks, heavy lifting, and general maintenance.
- Assist with keeping the shop in order.
- Gain experience in customer service by supporting team members in providing quality maintenance solutions for clients’ vessels.
Qualifications
- Clean cut presentation.
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ambitious Positive attitude
- Team Player
