Independent Pharmacy seeking for an outstanding pharmacy assistant to serve our patients and team.
JOB SUMMARY
Under direction supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this person will provide strong customer service and patient care skills, with a friend and professional demeanor. We pride ourselves in knowing ALL of our patients and providing each of them with incredible personal service. This individual must have a huge heart and care for our patients.
We are willing to accept a candidate with no experience, however the candidate must be diligent in learning quickly and have a talent for detail. This is a fast pace environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent customer service and telephone reception skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and common medications to support pharmacy operations.
- Ability to thrive in fast-pace environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with pharmacy staff and patients.
- Ability to lift/transport 1-20lbs
- Previous experience in a retail pharmacy or healthcare environment preferred.
- Ensuring that work areas are organized and clean
- Doing clerical / administrative work in the pharmacy.
- Directing all questions relating to prescriptions, health matters, or medications to the pharmacist.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
