About the Role

MariMed is seeking a dynamic and strategic Social Media Manager to lead and elevate our social presence across a growing portfolio of brands, Thrive Dispensary retail locations, and corporate channels.


This role sits at the intersection of content creation, community building, and growth marketing. You’ll develop and execute social strategies across organic and paid channels—driving engagement, building brand loyalty, and contributing directly to revenue growth.

You’ll also shape MariMed’s corporate voice on LinkedIn and X, helping position the company through thought leadership, culture storytelling, and brand reputation.


Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you’ll partner cross-functionally and turn insights into impactful content—and followers into customers.


What You’ll Do


Social Strategy & Planning

  • Own and execute social media strategy across brands and retail locations
  • Align channel strategies with product launches and business goals
  • Manage editorial calendars in partnership with Brand and Retail Marketing
  • Identify platform opportunities and emerging trends Content Creation (Organic)
  • Create and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more
  • Produce short-form video, static posts, Stories, and event-driven content
  • Capture live content at events, activations, and retail locations
  • Ensure content aligns with each brand’s voice


Community & Corporate Social

  • Build engaged communities and drive customer acquisition through social
  • Own MariMed’s LinkedIn and X presence
  • Develop thought leadership and culture content aligned with executive priorities


Performance & Insights

  • Track performance, generate insights, and continuously optimize strategies based on data

This is a high-impact role at a pivotal growth stage. You’ll shape how our brands show up in culture, build community at scale, and directly influence business performance across both organic and paid channels.


What We’re Looking For

  • 5 years of experience, including ownership of social strategy across multiple brands or a brand portfolio
  • Experience managing social across multiple brands preferred
  • Strong content creation skills, especially short-form video
  • Experience in regulated industries (cannabis, alcohol, wellness, etc.) is a plus
  • Proven ability to develop strategy—not just execute
  • Strong collaboration skills across marketing, brand, and communications teams
  • Data-driven mindset with a balance of creativity and analytical thinking
  • Willingness to attend in-person events as needed

Salary : $95,000 - $115,000
