Job Description: Premier label printing company in southern CA is searching to hire an experienced Lead Prepress Operator to manage all department duties. Responsibilities include: Manage all artwork requests in a timely and accurate manner. As the sole employee in the prepress dept. you will create proofs for client approval, prepare files for making flexographic plates, prepare and create new dies. QC jobs for production. Work closely with production depts. ensuring quality and on-time delivery of prepress products. Oversee all art and design functions including branding, packaging, and marketing materials. Qualifications include: Minimum 5 years' experience in production prepress, preferably in the flexographic label printing industry. Proficient on Adobe Creative Cloud. Experience in file preparation, stepped die line creation, and QC processes. Excellent communication skills. Detail oriented and able to multi-task several ongoing projects. Strong project management skills. Able to work independently and take ownership of the prepress department. Individual and team contributor. High School diploma. College degree a plus.
